I originally gained a BSc in Catering Systems and worked in a number of management roles in the hospitality industry. I found these roles lacked the challenged I was looking for so I went back into education, taking an MSc in Organisational Development at Sheffield Business School, which gave me an entirely new skill set focusing on managing change.
I joined Deloitte as a management consultant where I worked for 18 years, first in the Hospitality and Leisure Division and subsquently in the Sports Business Group. Convinced I could provide clients with a more personalised and cost effective consultancy service, in 2004 I decided to set up my own specialist consultancy boutique, John Dix Consulting Limited. For the last 13 years, I have continued to provide clients with the highest standards of consulting advice in a cost effective and professional manner.
